Lin Weixuan (Vivi)

Lin Weixuan (Vivi) graduated from Qingdao University of Science and Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Applied Chemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Peng Zhang research group, where she gained experience in spectroscopy, fluorescence and supramolecular chemistry, with a focus on fluorescent probes and their applications.

Vivi joined the University of Glasgow in 2025 to undertake an MSc in Chemistry. As part of her master’s project, she joined the Adams group, where her research focuses on investigating how sonication can affect and control micelle length in 2NapFF solutions.

Jianhong Zhou

Jianhong is an associate Research Fellow at the Eye Hospital & School of Optometry, Wenzhou Medical University, China.

His research interests centre on drug delivery systems and the pathogenic mechanisms underlying immune-mediated ocular disorders.

Jianhong is a visiting scholar in Professor Dave Adams’ laboratory from April 2026 to April 2027. Whilst here, he will employ a suite of characterisation techniques, including circular dichroism (CD), rheology, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), to elucidate the protective properties and underlying mechanisms of self-assembled low-molecular-weight gelators (LMWGs) for the storage and transportation of biopharmaceuticals. Jianhong’s research will have a particular focus on therapeutic antibodies under ambient and thermal stress conditions. This work seeks to develop robust LMWG formulations capable of preserving protein structural integrity and maintaining full biological activity during long-term room-temperature storage.
