Emily Cross becomes Dr. Emily Cross!
Congratulations! Emily Cross becomes Dr. Emily Cross after defending her thesis on analysing and controlling the self-assembly of gelation. Thanks to Adam Squires, Bernhard Schmidt and Drew Thomson for the viva. We wish Emily the best for her postdoc at Belfast with Garry Laverty.

Another visit to the ILL
This week, Dave is at the ILL with Emily Draper, carrying out more contrast matching SANS experiments, as well as looking at the effect of additives on gelation.

Off to a Flying Start – First Conference Talk – DONE!
Ana Mari’s first conference talk at the 7th EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Liverpool (26-30 August 2018). She did amazing in the “Molecular frontiers and global challenges” theme with her talk “Controlling the assembly of multicomponent supramolecular gelator systems”. Well done!!
Beijing Bound
Dave attends and presents at the Peptide Self-Assembly: Biology, Chemistry, Materials and Engineering Conference in Beijing 23-25th August. His talk was titled :Controlling the Self-assembly of Supramolecular Gelators across Length Scales”.
